Mullaney’s Harp & Fiddle features the debut performance of the 9-piece group Easter Rising at 9:00 pm. The group started up while attending the Roman Catholic seminary The Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio. Although some members of Easter Rising no longer study for the priesthood, they all remain committed as a band to the purpose of Easter Rising the fostering of communio for whoever has ears to listen. The Easter Rising Band is comprised of Josh Mincher- Vocals; John Egan- Guitar; Will Egan- Vocals, Mandolin, Fiddle, and sometimes Piano; Al Wolf- Vocals; Eric Wolf- Bass guitar; Gordo- Vocals, Accordion; Jake Willig- Drums; Liam O’Mara- Vocals, Bodhran; Pete Hansen- Vocals, Bodhran; Their influences have been The Pogues, The Chieftains, The Clancy Brothers, The Dubliners, The Turfmen. Easter Rising has a traditional Irish music sound blended with rock-and-roll, bluegrass and soul music. It is something we have come to term “Folk n’Roll, Irish Soul.” From the most riotous rebel songs to the most rousing ballads Easter Rising produces a sound and experience that never disappoints. Based in New York City leader of the band Sean McCabe, singer, songwriter, poet and musician is originally from Dublin and has assembled an eclectic lineup with Ryan Cavan on drums, Daniel Paccine on bass, Rick Snell on guitar, Matt Mancuso on fiddle, and himself on guitar and vocals. The McCabes are fast and furious! They’ll delight you and entice you and have you dancing in the aisles!
