Samhain 2008
Sunday, October 12 is Samhain, the Celtic New Year Celebration and a fundraiser for Echoes of Erin. It promises to be a very good time as the entertainmen is lined up, the decorations are finished, and the weather promises to be very good.
It is a bit early this year which will give you an opportunity to get in the spirit of 'Halloween' and maybe come up with some creative ideas for other parties.
Along with the musical entertainment, we have Michael Mykita, a physic entertainer, plus he will be reading palms throughout the evening. We have a few stories on some of our props. Danny and Mary Jo O'Toole, our King & Queen from 2007 will be dethroned and a new King & Queen will be crowned.
Danny & Mary Jo O'Toole at a summer event!
Doors open at 4:00 PM with music beginning at 4:30 PM, donation at the door is $15.00. There will be cultural basket raffles and a costume contest, so be creative. Costumes are optional, but I do have some nice prizes for the winners.
Frank Cindrich has been our 'Monk & Merchant' for the past several years; this year he has a new costume. You have to come check him out!
So come along and join us and keep Irish radio programming on the air.
