The Year of Remembrance Committee will host Alan Brecknell with the Pat Finucane Center in Newry, County Down. He will address a Pittsburgh audience at Mullaney’s Harp & Fiddle. Mr. Brecknell is doing a Masters degree LLM in Human Rights Law at Univ. of Ulster at the Transitional Justice Institute. He will talk about PONI and HET i.e. the positive and negative aspects of historical investigations and why that leads us to advocate a bottom up approach to transitional justice.
