House Concert

The Celtic Collection Scottish & Irish Import Shop in Bellevue sponsored a House Concert this afternoon with performances by Ballad Singer, Mike Gallagher, Bob Banjeree and Bob Pegritz. The fellows entertained us with a variety of 'original' songs and traditional tunes. Many of the songs were of 'love', which were delightful to hear.

Mike Gallagher, on his 12-string guitar, has been entertaining Pittsburgh audiences well over 30 years with Folk and Irish Music.

Bob Banjeree has played music most of his life being classically trained on the violin. He has mastered the mandolin, guitar and fiddle; plus he has a marvelous rapport with the audience. Born in Delhi, India, Bob is one of the finest musicians and extraordinarily talented doing a beautiful job with Irish music. He is so good on his fiddle that he toured a while with Gaelic Storm.

Bob Pegritz moved back to Pittsburgh about a year ago and plays the whistles beautifully.

Together these three musicians entertained a full house at Celtic Collection in Susan Shegogg's (proprietor) Cottage Room. The next House Concert will be scheduled in June.
