Other Ways to Listen to Echoes of Erin

Hello Friends,

Echoes of Erin is now in its 29th year broadcasting on WEDO 810AM.  Back in January 2016 the station was sold and we moved our physical plant a few miles northeast, up to North Versailles, Pa.  In that transition we lost our online capability.

I am happy to report that over the past six weeks Echoes of Erin has two additional means of listening to the program.  Patrick Cloonan, a presenter on WEDO wrote up the following description.  He writes - "McKeesport has a new FM broadcaster, W227DB-93.3, simulcasting WEDO-810 during daylight hours.  This includes ethnic programming such as the daily Radio Italia and weekly Echoes of Erin and Voice of the Croatian Fraternal Union.  There is religious programming and the daily Magic Music of Candy and Mike Long, medical talk shows, and public affairs including 'Two Rivers', 30 Minutes (Sunday 8 a.m.) and the Cloonan File (Sunday 8:30 a.m.)  After seven decades of service as a daytime-only AM station, WEDO now also can be found on FM 93.3.

FM 93.3 power is 50 watts and reaches Churchill Valley, Elizabeth, Munhall and Irwin and possibly further into Pittsburgh and Greensburg.  It will be an overnight FM signal as well.

Also for the past six weeks we have had an online presence on KDW Radio out of Florida.  You can hear Echoes of Erin on www.kdwradio.com every Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. est., then click on LISTEN LIVE.

Now you have three ways to listen to the program, if you cannot listen live, then maybe one of the other two will be convenient for you.

There are many activities going on in our region and in Ireland with festivals.  You can access Dateline Irish (my calendar of events) on the Pittsburgh Irish Network at www.pittsburghirish.org/echoesoferin then click on Dateline.

That's it for now folks.  Until the next time,

Regards,
Diane
