Intro to last two posts

Hello Friends,

Echoes of Erin broadcasts each Sunday from 12:30pm till 2:00pm eastern time.  In case you are interested in listening to Irish music and Irish news, you can tune in to Echoes of Erin online 24/7 by following these directions.

The highest program number is the most current, January 2015 begins with #1398;  There are a few years of programs available for your listening pleasure.

Each week you hear a live news report, The Ireland Report, from one of four news correspondents.  The first Sunday is Patricia Sharkey, out of Donegal and is editor of the Donegal Newsletter (www.dun-na-ngall.com).  The second Sunday is Brian Nolan, out of Galway and is a writer and Walking Tour Director (www.galwaywalks.com).  The third Sunday is Davy Kettyles out of Dublin.  The fourth Sunday is Mairtin O'Muilleoir, out of Belfast (www.newbelfast.com) and is  Managing Director of the Belfast Media Group and Publisher of the Irish Echo (www.irishecho.com) out of New York.  On the occasional fifth Sunday or when a correspondent is not available,  I give the roundup of news (www.pittsburghirish.org/echoesoferin).

Dateline Irish is the weekly calendar of events that is announced each week, however, all you need do is to let me know you would be interested in being added to my distribution list and you can receive the link each week.

And of course I air a wide variety of Irish music, sometimes theme oriented programs, like the Hunger Strikes of 1981 and the Easter Rising along with other themes as listeners request.  During the Christmas Season I air 4 to 6 weeks of Irish Christmas music, and this year no piece was aired twice.  It is such beautiful music!

Listeners to Echoes of Erin tune in around the country (USA) and the world (Canada, Europe, Ireland, Australia); the program receives good feedback from the listeners.

So, do give me a listen each Sunday LIVE or ONLINE @ www.wedo810.com.

Happy New Year,
Diane Byrnes

New Year 2015

Hello Folks,

Here we are at the beginning of another New Year and as usual I have goals to accomplish.  One of them is keeping this Blog updated, current, and new items posted once a week.  Even though I have not written here as I have previously said I would, I will give it another try.  Most of the time I just run out of time.

So, for 2015 I begin again!

Regards,
Diane
